Alcohol, drugs, fights, sex and extravagant parties which seem to never end.
In the beginning, Once Were Warriors appears to be a total man's movie.
But then the sun comes up and the aftermath of last night's mayhem silently dawn on the heroes of the night.
The consequences are too much for the testosterone pumped supermen to handle, and it's the women's turn to show who's the strongest.
But gender is not the issue here.
The issue is a broken people who cannot forget their proud past, no matter how much they anesthetize the memories.
As have been their tradition for thousands of years, they still fight, just to feel alive.
