Cannibal Holocaust, Martyrs, Irreversible, Ex Drummer, Nekromantik, Ichi the Killer, Men Behind the Sun, The Flower of Flesh and Blood, August Underground, Salo... they're all on your "watched" list?
Now, what's the worst, sickest, most disgusting porn you have ever seen? 2girl1cup on your list? 1guy1cup? 2men1horse?
If you have not seen all the movies listed above, STAY AWAY! This film is NOT FOR YOU!
If, on the other hand, you are one of the initiated and disturbed, then combine all the above and prepare for some good ol' sick entertainment.
A Serbian Film is totally fucked up!
Sex and violence. It sells. Everybody knows that. But the amount of rape, torture, murder and sex all at the same time in A Serbian Film, is just ridiculous.
I wouldn't go as far as say it's a good movie, but the soundtrack is pretty hypnotizing.
Still, if you want to be able to know what people are talking about for the next 10 years, you can not look away.
IMDB
This is one fucked up movie!
ReplyDeleteIndeed it is. Did you enjoy it though?
ReplyDeleteThat was one of the best psychological thrillers I have ever seen.... Do I regret the experience? No. Should I? Probably. Would I recommend it? No. Not to your average viewer
ReplyDeleteI felt myself akin to the characters in Cigarette Burns in a way. I'm traumatized temporarily but it's just shell shock. Great piece of film. It laughs at you for watching it and I laughed right back.
So you made the jump? =)
ReplyDeleteBut that's a a brilliant description of how I felt too when I saw it.
Still, unlike Cannibal Holocaust, Martyrs, Irreversible, Ex Drummer and Ichi the Killer, I don't think I'll ever watch it again,
Indeed. I love those other films (Especially Ichi.) Although I might do a repeat viewing someday. I love pushing myself to see how far my mind can go. It's like some people love haunted houses. I love cult cinema.
ReplyDeleteAsk your film buff friends if they want to see the most twisted movie ever. This is the one.
ReplyDeleteYou will never forget it, ever.
Twisted twisted twisted.
Bravo CINEMA! ^_^
Hehe, yeah this sticks with you for sure, though like most extreme cinema, I've found the shock factor fades quickly. Though the film deeply upset me when I first saw it, now I look back at it with almost fond memories of how upsetting it was.
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting! =)
