Harold and Maude is one of those films that is just wrong in so many ways. There's suicides, people going to funerals for fun, sex between people with a 60+ age difference, and there's horrible, ear-shattering singing.And yet, it is an incredibly sweet and heart-warming love story.
It's the perfect film to watch if you're down on life and love, giving you that tingling feeling of hope, that purpose which can be found in the strangest of places.
