With Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland getting rather sub par reviews, yet still breaking box office records, I thought it would be nice to look back on a different version of the Alice franchise. A very different version.This is a musical. A ridiculously childish, but extremely funny musical that has gained cult status over the years
The production value is surprisingly high, and the experience could actually pass for a normal feature film, except for this one little detail that's ludicrously misfitting yet somehow still just as believable as the rest of the premise.
Because in this version, the wonderland inhabitants constantly have sex.
Yes, it's a porn flick.
But it's unlike any porn flick you have ever seen. Compared to modern all-shaved-super-15-inch-mega-in-your-face-up-your-ass-gangbang-cum-shot-porn, these dated and hairy 70s sex scenes are hardly arousing. But the movie is still quite entertaining on different grounds. The absurdity of seeing well choreographed song and dance numbers from people having sex, is just something you don't want to miss. It's not without reason that it's become one of the most successful porn flicks of all time.
